Actionkit Project

Overview

Introduction

The Actionkit Project looks at ways of integrating ActionApps (AA) and Drupal. We developed two modules for Drupal that demonstrate integration on the View Level and on the Data Level. Both modules are available for free, licensed under the GPL, and are open for improvements.

The two modules that were developed for this project are available from drupal.org. For further development they have been put into the Drupal CVS repository. For details refer to the Drupal project page on ActionApps Integration.

The final reports on both tasks contain a "walkthrough". This is meant as an easy to understand step by step guide on how to use the two Drupal modules:

  1. aaview Walkthrough
  2. aaitem Walkthrough

Task #2 - ActionApps view-level integration

  • Description: To enable including APC-AA views and slices into a Drupal site.
  • Task #2 View Level Integration Final Report

Brief discussion of the aims, approaches, and the module that was developed for view-level integration (aaview).

  • ActionApps View Module for Drupal 0.1(deprecated)

This is a simple implementation of a standalone Drupal module that allows displaying ActionApps views in Drupal blocks.

  • Online Demo using the GreenNet Headlines Slice

The right hand block shows an ActionApps View used on the GreenNet homepage.

This demo uses an advanced version of the ActionApps abstraction layer developed for the Task #3 (it is also included in the GreenNet Actionkit)

Task #3 - ActionApps data-level integration
