The Web: Are you using it or is it using you?

(or everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask about web tools, online privacy, security...)

Social networking tools mean that it's never been a better time to network for change, or to be wising up on the risks and how to head them off.
Come and have lunch on 3rd April with resource people from GreenNet, APC and Amnesty - techies, creatives, human rights, ICT policy and e-communications experts who can help you to unpack the myths, get to know the tools and get over the jargon.

Email info@gn.apc.org to get more details and let us know if you can make it.

Stop the Traffik! Make chocolate Traffik Free

12,000 children have been trafficked into cocoa farms in Cote D'Ivoire. When we buy chocloate from companies that use trafficked labour, we are unwittingly supporting this practice.
STOP THE TRAFFIK is calling on all chocolate companies to stamp their chocolate wrappers with a guarantee that the cocoa beans have not been harvested by trafficked labour, so that we can choose to eat Traffik Free chocolate.
You can help encouarage chocolate companies to give a guarantee that their chocolate is Traffik Free by refusing to buy their unguaranteed products.
Let the cocoa industry know by Freedom Day on March 25th, that it is our right to eat 'Guaranteed Traffik Free' chocolate.

Currently, choclolate guaranteed to be 'Traffik Free' includes Divine, Green & Black Maya Gold and those listed on the STOP THE TRAFFIK Good Chocolate Guide
